Fashion’s supply chain has fallen victim to the virus’s exponential spread: most Italian factories have closed. India, a major garment and textile manufacturer and exporter, has gone on lockdown. Bloomberg reports that about 1,089 garment factories in Bangladesh have had orders cancelled worth roughly $1.5 billion due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Furthermore, the Eurpoean textile and clothing manufacturing industry is expecting a drop more than 50% in sales and production as a result of the pandemic by the end of the year.

The majority of the industrie’s giants are already laying off workers and suffering financial constriants. For example, Zara has announced that it will only Pay its workers their full salaries until April 15. 🤯 COVID-19 is definitely taking a toll on us.
